Missing In Action

Happy 2015, everyone!

While 2014 certainly had some highlights and happy moments, I can’t say I am sorry to see it go.  It was a tough year for me emotionally on many fronts and I am hoping that 2015 is a bit kinder.

For those who have missed my blog, thank you!  So many of you reached out to me, and that means so much to me. It certainly wasn’t my intention to be away so long. I love writing, and I love hearing that you are interested, and are being educated and even inspired. So many of you related to the challenges of 2014 and it was comforting to know you cared.

November 20th, the date of my last post, was only about 6 weeks ago, but it seems so much longer. It’s been quite a whirlwind of activity since then. There were the obvious holidays — Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the corresponding preparations. Both were emotionally tough but we got through them as a family. My sister-in-law and I made a great tag team, splitting up cooking responsibilities and stretching our culinary skills to cook things we had never made before. After all, Mom always did the cooking. I think she would have been proud.

On top of the usual holiday craziness, I had decided to plan a Disney vacation as a distraction for us. It was wonderful, but my goal was to have all the holiday tasks done before we left, so there was a bit of added pressure. Throw into the mix a family reunion at my house, five holiday concerts, and year-end work stuff… and you can understand why there was no time for writing.

But it’s a new year and one of my resolutions is to get back to my blog.  There are so many ideas piling up in my head that I just need to get writing! It will take me a while to get caught up.

I wish you all a blessed, happy, healthy, joyous New Year. I am grateful for your readership and your friendship!

With peace and love,
Michele

  1. I wondered where you went, but I figured you were probably busy. I can’t say much, my last post was in November too. I need to get back on the horse:) I’m glad you had a great holiday. I went to Florida the week after Christmas myself, but not Disney. I’m soooo jealous; that’s my happy place!!

    • I have missed you as well. I guess once we get further beyond our cancer and treatment, there is a lot less to say about it, I suppose. I’m glad you got some Florida sunshine as well! We all love Disney, so a happy place for us too! Look forward to your future posts. Hope you are well, my friend!
