I’m so excited to have the following new books to read:
First, The Campbell Plan by Dr. Thomas Campbell. The foreword is written by my hero, the author’s father, T. Colin Campbell. (It’s the only thing I’ve had time to read so far…). I forgot that I had pre-ordered it and was surprised when it arrived on Monday. I don’t know how much new stuff I’ll learn, but I like to see another point of view and I like to be able to recommend the appropriate books to people who ask me about eating a whole foods plant-based diet. This particular books seems to tackle a variety of topics (GMO, soy, fish oil, gluten, reading labels, eating out, and more), and even has some recipes. I’ll be sure to check those out and report back on any I try.
The second book is on Essential Oils. I have a few friends who use them and swear by them. I’m intrigued but don’t know enough about them, so it’s time to educate myself!
Now, just to find time to read….
File under weird: I’ve noticed that I now have this unbearable aversion to tags in my clothing. I’m not sure when it really started being a problem, but it drives me crazy. I find myself cutting tags out of clothes I’ve had for years. They never bothered me before, so why now? The tags itch and burn, no matter if they are on the back of my shirt, the back of my pants, or even the side seams of my shirts. I’ve read that some people who are plant based experience dry skin, but that makes no sense to me, since fruits and vegetables contain water. Plus, with my Plant Nanny app, I am now drinking 93+ ounces of water a day (93 is my daily goal set by the app). Yep. Weird.
