Last night I read a friend’s Facebook post about their parent-teacher conferences (Thanks, El!) and I completely panicked. I knew teacher conferences were due but didn’t see any communication on them and didn’t realize that they were already on the calendar. Looking at the school’s website, I realized that I had missed sessions on Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon. I was so upset about this, having never missed a conference during all of Ethan’s schooling to date. I was all ready to blame this missed date on cancer: chemo brain, being tired and unfocused. Thankfully, I learned today that there is one more date on the calendar next week and I can still get there. What a relief! I do look forward to being able to being organized and focused again some day!
Today at lunch, my girlfriends, Leann and Michelle, and I went shopping for more scarves. We picked out another half dozen to add to the repertoire. It will be a lot easier to match this new accessory to my clothing, as we picked out a few neutral colors/patterns as defaults when nothing else matches.
I got the most beautiful card from my friend, Gina, that made me cry. (I tend to get cards most days but this one was extra special.)
Another friend (Thanks, Amy) shared the following post with me tonight. I’d like to thank all of your for being part of my strong social ties and for improving my survival rates!
