I took the big step today of wearing a scarf to work. No wig! The reactions were supportive and encouraging, along with a dose of “what took you so long?” So I think I’ll be saving the wig for “special” occasions. I’m really so much more comfortable in the lighter, less-itchy scarves. I think some shopping is in order to pick up a few more for variety and matching to outfits. I considered briefly sending David today since he had the day off, but I chickened out. 🙂
I was surprised at the amount of interest in yesterday’s chocolate mousse. I guess I shouldn’t be, considering the number of chocoholics I know! Let me know if any of you try it. I’ve had several people also try the butternut squash recipe and highly recommend that one for Thanksgiving dinner!
Last night’s sleep was very disruptive due to the Neulasta pain. The bones in my feet were in quite a bit a pain which was only slightly reduced by the heating pads, Claritan and Tylenol. Let’s hope it lets up tonight. I’m not sure if it’s truly just cumulative symptoms (is the Neulasta cumulative?) or if I overdid it yesterday with shopping and working on Christmas decorations. I’m sure I was on my feet a bit longer than normal.
Tomorrow night is dinner with the Ladies in Pink committee! I’m really looking forward to that to spend some quality time with this great group of women. I’m hoping I can stay awake since dinner isn’t until 7 PM. That’s a late night for me, but I am hoping to get a nap in between work and dinner. 🙂
We’ve been off schedule for juicing for the past week. I”m not sure we’ll get back on track tomorrow, but definitely need to regroup by Wednesday. I feel so much better when I am juicing.
For those of you who had the day off, hope you enjoyed the continued great weather! I know Ethan was happy to spend a lot of time outside!
