With today’s routine already disrupted by the impending storm and work/school closures, I thought this morning might be a good time to finish shaving my head. Yes, finish. See, not everything fell out. There were these very unattractive patches of thin hairs in random places on my scalp. I couldn’t help but wonder “why not these?” when tens of thousands (more?) of their counterparts had fallen so easily. I figured this shaving thing was a quick zip-zip of the razor, but they still did not come so easily. It took multiple times of shave/rinse but I felt I had it done pretty well during my shower. Not so fast! Sitting at my make-up mirror, the lighting kept highlighting more and more stray hairs and so I continue to shave sections throughout my morning routine. I finally feel completely clean-shaven, a la Kelly Pickler. I can honestly say after this, that I will never ever complain of a bad hair day, and will never be quite so critical of my own appearances. I’m bald. Completely bald. And you know what, it looks ok!
p.s. In case you missed the connection of today’s title with the content…. think billiards. 🙂
Ethan and I juiced early to ensure we got it in before power loss.
I started both of my butternut squash recipes this afternoon. I’m posting early in case we lose power, so I’ll be sure to let you know tomorrow how they turned out. The first one required grating, which was a pain in the neck; the second one was only cubing, which was a lot easier. Stay tuned for taste test results tomorrow!
