I am so glad that I decided to take today as a “disability recurrence”. I really had no energy whatsoever and spent most of the day sleeping. After a good night’s sleep (9 hours), I fell asleep again after David and Ethan left for work and school. That covered 7:30-10:00 am. I managed to stay awake an entire hour, mostly just checking email, before falling asleep from 11:00-12:30 pm. I had a bite to eat, and then slept from 1-1:30. Whew. I then managed to stay awake for another whole hour before sleeping from 2:30-4:30. All this sleep is just exhausting!
I’ve managed to be awake, although not always upright, since 4:30, when Ethan got home from Grandma’s. Nothing like the need to juice for and feed your child to keep you awake. 🙂 I am hoping to make it through tonight’s episode of Shark Tank (my favorite show) before hitting the sack for the night.
Last night’s visit with friends was way fun. It’s been over five years since I’ve seen them, and it we had lots of good laughs. They brought me gift baskets filled with fresh fruits and veggies, and we’ve got some new fruits to try in our juicing: red pear, grapefruit and mango. I also have all the fixings for a yummy guacamole and the whole array of “Way Better Snacks”! Pretty nice gift baskets, if I may say so myself!
Outside of the fatigue, I am feeling pretty good. Hiccups have been manageable, and only slight aching in my joints from the Neulasta. I’ve stared taking the Claritan in addition to the Compazine, hoping to get ahead of any pain and/or nausea.
I’ve gone 3 days now without wearing my wig. I’m actually getting quite accustomed to my head scarves. With some nice hoop earrings, I think I wear the gypsy look well. With a good eye patch, I just might be able to pull off a pirate for Halloween!
