This morning I had my first follow up at the doctor’s office. I guess I wasn’t paying attention to the doctor when he said I would be meeting with the nurse, and not him. Of course, it makes sense: he’s in surgery today. At any rate, the nurses were wonderful; they said I am healing nicely. There was some fluid, as expected, and they did drain 80 cc’s of fluid from my right breast. (Well, I guess my right side is more appropriate!) They did not drain anything from the left side. While there is some fluid there as well, the nurse indicated that they don’t like to drain too many times, so as not to increase the risk of introducing an infection. She did promise to leave a message for Dr. Farrell so he can call me on the pathology reports–obviously the piece I was most interested in. I have an appointment to see him on Wednesday, but he will call me at some point between now and then. So we all just need to be patient just a little longer!
Juicing Day 2: I switched up the ingredients a bit yesterday by changing the ratios around. I went for more of an apple base, and backed off a little on the veggies, but otherwise kept the ingredients the same (apples, lemon, carrot, celery and cucumber). It was yummy! I’m re-stocked on a variety of fruits and veggies, and quite excited to experiment! What to make today….?
Sugar Fast: Day 3 was mostly successful… although I need to confess to two bites of a Kay’s Pizza cinnamon bun! 🙂 (come on, who can blame me??? I think it is admirable that I was able to stop at two!!) 🙂
