Yea! I got some good sleep last night! Outside of being woken up for vitals and meds, I pretty much slept through the night. I’m still feeling a bit tired, but breakfast came and food is always a priority.
My pain level is still really good. I have not needed any narcotics and have been managing the pain with an extra-strength Motrin-type drug (toredol?) and ice packs.
Dr. Schmidt came by late yesterday and is planning to discharge me today. He even talked about removing the drains. That’s awesome, I just hope the right side isn’t being removed too early. I guess we’ll chat about that later. I’ve got my list of 20 questions to ask when he gets here.
11:10 am: I am sprung!!! Drains are gone!! And after only 3 days! The ace bandage that was wrapped around my chest is also gone, and that feels great. Waiting for my chariot to pull up to the hospital and I’m in my way home. First stop: the shower! 🙂
